Regular Season Round 18: Lovcen - Novi Pazar 90-94

There was a small surprise in Cetinje where tenth ranked Serbian Novi Pazar (7-11) defeated 8th ranked Montenegrin Lovcen (8-10) 94-90. Novi Pazar made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Lovcen turnovers. Strangely Lovcen outrebounded Novi Pazar 39-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Novi Pazar players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Lovcen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Bosnian-Serbian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 assists. Montenegrin guard Nikola Korac (186-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists for the winners. Novi Pazar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard Milutin Djukanovic (190-91) replied with 20 points and 5 assists and American guard KeVaughn Allen (188-95, college: Florida) added 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Lovcen. Five Novi Pazar and four Lovcen players scored in double figures. Novi Pazar moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Dynamic VP. Lovcen at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Novi Pazar's next round opponent will be Sloboda Tuzla (#11) at home.
