Regular Season Round 18: Borac - Split 90-60

ABA League top team - Serbian Borac (16-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Croatian Split (9-9) in Cacak 90-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Split. Borac players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Split's players. It was a good game for guard Nikola Kocovic (195-96) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 assists. Power forward Dusan Miletic (213-98) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Borac players scored in double figures. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: MTSU) replied with 12 points and forward Pavle Marcinkovic (197-89, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 5 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Split. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Borac have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Split at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Borac's next round opponent will be Helios Suns (#7) in Domzale where they are favorite. Split will play at home against Sutjeska and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
