Regular Season Round 18: Primorska - Mega Bemax 93-87

There was no surprise in Koper where 11th ranked Serbian Mega Bemax (4-14) was defeated by sixth ranked Slovenian Primorska (11-7) 93-87 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Point guard Nejc Baric (183-97) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Alen Hodzic (191-92) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: Youngstown St.) with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Nikola Miskovic (207-99, agency: BeoBasket) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Mega Bemax players scored in double figures. Primorska have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Slovenian champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mornar Bar and Cedevita Olimpija. Loser Mega Bemax keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Zadar. Primorska will meet FMP (#7) in the next round. Mega Bemax will play against Cibona (#10) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
