Regular Season Round 19: Cedevita Olimpija - Zadar 90-82

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Slovenian Cedevita Olimpija (12-7) beat bottom-ranked Croatian KK Zadar (4-15) in Ljubljana 90-82 on Saturday. Cedevita Olimpija made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while KK Zadar only scored five points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for Jaka Blazic (196-90) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Mikael Hopkins (206-93, college: Georgetown) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side. American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: GMU) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Dominik Mavra (195-94) added 14 points and 7 assists respectively for KK Zadar in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cedevita Olimpija moved-up to third place, which they share with Mornar Bar and Crvena Zvezda. KK Zadar lost their fifth game in a row. KK Zadar at the other side stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Cedevita Olimpija will meet Crvena Zvezda (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KK Zadar will play against FMP (#7) and hope to secure a win.
