Regular Season Round 19: Igokea - Krka 92-82

Everything could happen in Aleksandrovac at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bosnian Igokea and 8th ranked Slovenian Krka had identical 6-12 record. This time Igokea used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Novo Mesto 92-82 on Sunday night. Igokea made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 68.2 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American Rashad Vaughn (198-96, college: UNLV) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!). His fellow American import point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) accounted for 16 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Igokea's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Serbian-Bosnian forward Marko Josilo (200-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Luka Lapornik (195-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for Krka in the defeat. Four Igokea and five Krka players scored in double figures. Igokea (7-12) moved-up to eighth place. Krka lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cibona. Igokea will meet Mega Bemax (#11) in the next round. Krka will play against the league's leader Partizan NIS having rather not much hope for a victory.
