Regular Season Round 20: Primorska - Cibona 79-78

Ninth-ranked Croatian Cibona (6-14) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Slovenian Primorska (12-8) in Koper on Sunday. Primorska managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian center Ziga Dimec (210-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Primorska players scored in double figures. Slovenian point guard Matic Rebec (183-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and power forward Filip Bundovic (205-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) scored 15 points. Cibona's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending Slovenian champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mornar Bar and Cedevita Olimpija. Defending Croatian champion Cibona keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Primorska will face bottom-ranked KK Zadar (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cibona will play against Igokea in Aleksandrovac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
