Regular Season Round 2: Split - FMP 86-71

There was a minor upset when Serbian FMP was defeated on the road by Croatian Split 86-71. They made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Strangely FMP outrebounded Split 42-27 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by FMP helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Slovenian swingman Blaz Mesicek (197-97) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Turkish swingman Okben Ulubay (201-97) replied with 13 points and 4 assists and power forward Marko Radovanovic (208-96) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for FMP. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FMP's coach tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Split's next round opponent will be Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana and it may be quite challenging game.
