Regular Season Round 15: Partizan NiS - Split 109-49

Second ranked Serbian Partizan NiS (12-2) crushed at home 14th ranked Croatian Split (2-13) by 60 points 109-49, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. Partizan NiS held Split to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 64.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Split 47-27 including a 40-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Partizan NiS shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Split's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Dusan Miletic (213-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Slovenian Gregor Glas (195-1) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Partizan NiS players scored in double figures. Partizan NiS's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) with 17 points and forward Tonko Vuko (203-94, college: Pacific) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Partizan NiS have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-2 record behind leader Crvena Zvezda. Split lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Partizan NiS are looking forward to face SC Derby (#9) in Podgorica in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Split will play at home against Buducnost (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
