Regular Season Round 17: Mornar - FMP BG 82-78

There was an upset when 4th placed Serbian FMP BG (10-4) lost to eighth ranked Montenegrin Mornar (7-8) in Bar 78-82 on Saturday. Mornar made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mornar made 14 blocks. Bosnian-Montenegrin Sead Sehovic (196-89) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and Bosnian guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 14 points and 7 assists. American guard Garrett Nevels (188-92, college: Hawaii) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Danilo Tasic (207-93, agency: 011 Sports) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for FMP BG in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mornar. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mega BG. Loser FMP BG keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Mornar will meet league's leader Crvena Zvezda in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FMP BG's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Mega BG.
