No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Montenegrin SC Derby (6-9) beat bottom-ranked Croatian Split (2-14) in Podgorica 77-70 on Monday. SC Derby shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Bosnian center Kenan Kamenjas (207-0, agency: BeoBasket) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) accounted for 10 points and 5 assists. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Karlo Zganec (206-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Split in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Derby maintains ninth place with 6-9 record. Split lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. SC Derby will meet Cibona (#11) in the next round. Split will play against Igokea and hope to secure a win.
