Regular Season Round 18: Split - Igokea 89-77

Bottom-ranked Croatian Split managed to get a third victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Friday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Bosnian Igokea 89-77. The best player for the winners was American Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) who scored 28 points and 6 assists. Slovenian point guard Nejc Baric (183-97) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian-Bosnian forward Marko Josilo (200-92) who recorded 17 points and 4 assists and Serbian-Bosnian forward Dalibor Ilic (202-0) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Igokea's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Split maintains fourteenth position with 3-14 record. Igokea at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Mega BG. Split will meet higher ranked Cibona (#9) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Igokea will play against FMP BG where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
