Regular Season Round 10: Helios Suns - Mladost ZE 88-68

The game between Top Four teams took place in Domzale. Third ranked Slovenian host Helios Suns (7-3) smashed one of their biggest challengers Serbian Mladost ZE (6-4) 88-68. Helios Suns players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Carlbe Ervin II (190-95, college: Kansas St., agency: Inception Sports) notched 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Bine Prepelic (200-1) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Ervin II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Helios Suns players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Cody Carlson (206, college: Weber St.) did not help to save the game for Mladost ZE. His fellow American import guard Shane Gibson (188-90, college: Sacred Heart) added 12 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Helios Suns have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Borac BL, which they share with Siroki. Mladost ZE at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Spars and Sutjeska. Helios Suns will play against Rogaska (#12) in Rogaska Slatina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mladost ZE will play at home against Spars (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
