Regular Season Round 28: Cibona - Zadar 80-73

One of the most interesting games of round 28 was a derby match between two teams from Croatia. The game took place in Zagreb where ninth ranked Cibona won against visiting Zadar (8-18) 80-73. Cibona made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Zadar turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian swingman Amar Gegic (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Power forward Roko Prkacin (206-2002) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Cibona's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Pavle Marcinkovic (197-1989, agency: BIG) replied with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Trevor Thompson (210-1994, college: Ohio St.) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Zadar. Cibona (11-15) moved-up to eighth place. Defending Croatian champion Zadar dropped to the twelfth position with 18 games lost.
