Regular Season Round 1: FMP BG - Mega BG 90-76

One of the most interesting games of round 1 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where FMP BG won against visiting Mega BG 90-76. They outrebounded Mega BG 38-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. American Beau Beech (203-1994, college: UNF) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Nigerian power forward Ebuka Izundu (208-1996, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four FMP BG players scored in double figures. American guard Ahmaad Rorie (186-1995, college: Montana) came up with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and French Malcolm Cazalon (198-2001, agency: BeoBasket) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Mega BG in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. FMP BG will meet Borac CA in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mega BG will play against Igokea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
