Regular Season Round 2: SC Derby - Cibona 97-84

An interesting game took place in Podgorica where Croatian Cibona was upset on the court of Montenegrin SC Derby 97-84 on Sunday. SC Derby looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Loren Jackson (173-1996, college: Akron) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists. Bosnian-Croatian swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-1999) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Center Kresimir Ljubicic (210-1998, agency: AltusBasket) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SC Derby will meet Partizan in the next round. Cibona will play against Mornar and hope to win that game.
