Regular Season Round 6: Mega BG - SC Derby 101-74

Serbian Mega BG has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Montenegrin SC Derby (2-4) 101-74 on Sunday. Mega BG shot 25 for 35 from the free-throw line, while SC Derby only scored eight points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian Matej Rudan (208-2001, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian center Danko Brankovic (215-2000, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Mega BG players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian forward Danilo Tasic (207-1993, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Bosnian-Croatian swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-1999) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mega BG (1-5) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with MZT Skopje. SC Derby at the other side keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Split. Mega BG will meet higher ranked Mornar (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SC Derby will play against Borac CA and hope to secure a win.
