Regular Season Round 9: Igokea - MZT Skopje 96-90

Very predictable result in Aleksandrovac where seventh ranked Bosnian Igokea (5-4) defeated 12th ranked North Macedonian MZT Skopje (2-7) 96-90 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American guard Kendrick Ray (188-1994, college: KSU) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 4 steals. His fellow American import guard Bryant Crawford (191-1997, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Mike Caffey (183-1993, college: LBSU, agency: Players Group) who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian Strahinja Micovic (205-1992) added 18 points respectively. Five Igokea and four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending Bosnian champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zadar and Buducnost. Defending North Macedonian champion MZT Skopje keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. They share it with Split. Igokea will meet at home Zadar (#7) in the next round. MZT Skopje will play against Borac CA (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
