Regular Season Round 10: Split - Mega BG 79-75

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Croatian Split (3-7) beat at home 11th ranked Serbian Mega BG (3-7) 79-75 on Sunday. Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Lewis Sullivan (201-1995, college: UAB, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Split players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Ahmaad Rorie (186-1995, college: Montana) responded with 18 points and Croatian center Danko Brankovic (215-2000, agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Mega BG's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Split moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Cibona and Mega BG. Split will meet Borac CA (#13) in the next round. Mega BG's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Crvena Zvezda.
