Regular Season Round 14: Partizan - Cibona 93-68

Very expected game when 7th ranked Croatian Cibona (6-8) was smashed by third ranked Serbian Partizan (12-2) in Beograd 93-68 on Sunday. Partizan looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Guard Danilo Andjusic (194-1991, agency: BeoBasket) notched 22 points to lead the effort and center Tristan Vukcevic (209-2003) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Serbian Aleksandar Aranitovic (195-1998) did not help to save the game for Cibona. Marko Bakovic (205-1993) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Defending Croatian champion Cibona keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with SC Derby. Partizan will meet at home bottom-ranked MZT Skopje (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cibona will play against SC Derby (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
