Regular Season Round 25: Mega BG - Buducnost 76-85

There was no surprise in Beograd where 6th ranked Serbian Mega BG (12-13) was defeated by third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (18-6) 85-76 on Saturday. American J.J. O'Brien (200-1992, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. Buducnost's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Croatian center Danko Brankovic (215-2000) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian Matej Rudan (208-2001) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Buducnost have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains third place with 18-6 record having four points less than leader Partizan. Loser Mega BG keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Buducnost will meet at home league's leader Partizan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mega BG will play against Cedevita Ol. (#4) in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
