Regular Season Round 26: MZT Skopje - Cibona 87-74

There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked North Macedonian MZT Skopje (7-19) defeated at home 11th ranked Croatian Cibona (9-17) 87-74 on Friday. MZT Skopje looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Mike Caffey (183-1993, college: LBSU, agency: Players Group) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Serbian Aleksandar Bursac (205-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by Serbian Aleksandar Aranitovic (195-1998) did not help to save the game for Cibona. Domagoj Vukovic (206-1993, agency: 011 Sports) added 7 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. MZT Skopje have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending North Macedonian champion moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Borac CA. Cibona lost third consecutive game. Defending Croatian champion keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
