Regular Season Round 26: Zadar - Partizan 78-88
Date: April 17, 2023
There was no surprise when 7th ranked Croatian Zadar (11-15) lost at home to first ranked Serbian Partizan (24-2) 88-78 on Monday. Strangely Zadar outrebounded Partizan 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. American forward James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) notched 18 points to lead the effort and French center Mathias Lessort (206-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists by Luka Bozic (200-1996) did not help to save the game for Zadar. American forward Juan Davis (203-1996, college: Troy) added 22 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-2 record. Zadar at the other side keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Igokea and SC Derby.
