Regular Season Round 1: Split - SC Derby 72-76

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Croatian Split at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Montenegrin SC Derby 76-72. SC Derby players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Point guard Igor Drobnjak (188-2000) nailed 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side and Bosnian-Croatian swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-1999) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists. Mate Kalajzic (189-1998) came up with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and Canadian Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) added 18 points respectively for Split in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SC Derby will play against Zadar at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Split will play against Igokea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
