Regular Season Round 1: FMP BG - Krka 97-99

But FMP BG was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Novo Mesto 99-97 on Monday night. It was a great shooting night for Krka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Jurij Macura (211-1999) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Jan Span (189-1992, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists. American center Nate Watson (208-1998, college: Providence) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and French guard Hugo Besson (191-2001) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Krka will meet at home Borac CA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. FMP BG will play against Cibona in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
