Regular Season Round 17: Partizan - Mega BG 112-80

One of the most interesting games of round 17 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where second rankedPartizan outleveled visiting Mega BG (9-8) 112-80 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mega BG. Partizan shot 65.1 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Mega BG turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Partizan looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and swingman Uros Trifunovic (199-2000) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Uros Plavsic (213-1998, college: Tennessee) responded with 26 points and Turkish point guard Omer Ilyasoglu (193-2001) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Four Mega BG players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Crvena Zvezda. Mega BG at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Zadar.
