The game was mostly controlled by Tim-Scuf. Dnipro-DVUFK managed to win fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Tim-Scuf forced 23 Dnipro-DVUFK turnovers and outrebounded them 50-31 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Kateryna Dorogobuzova (187-F-90) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Olga Maznichenko (187-F-91, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International center Taisiia Bovykina (190-C-89, agency: LBM Management) answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Alina Iagupova added 15 points in the effort for Dnipro-DVUFK. In the game for the third place Kozachka outscored Frankivsk 95:74. The winners led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kozachka outrebounded Frankivsk 49-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 65.4 percentage. Kozachka brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. International forward Anna Pokoiova stepped up and scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international forward Ganna Zarytska (182-F-86, agency: Data Plus Group) chipped in 19 points and 13 rebounds. Four Kozachka players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Viktoriya Pazyuk responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Arina Markotenko (170-G-89) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The League also announced the best players of the Final Eight. Isachenko from Tim-Skuf became the best Guard, while Taisiia Bovykina from Dnipro received the best Forward position. Olena Zherzherunova (191-F-78, agency: LBM Management) from Kozachka was named the best Center and MVP of the short season was awarded to Kimberly Williams (168-G-74, agency: Merit Sports, college: De Paul). |
