Five players scored in double figures as Australia held off Canada in the first semifinal. The Gems posted a 43-36 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 10-point mark heading into the fourth period. Australia poured in 21 points in the final stanza to rally to the win. Sitaya Fagan, Monique Bobongie and Zara Russell banked in 14 points each for the winners. Jasmine Bascoe replied with game-high 29 points and 9 assists for Canada.
