Qualifying Round Day 5: CANADA - KAZAKHSTAN 108-70

Canada grabbed a commanding win over Kazakhstan at the U19 World Championship today. Canada thus snapped a two-game losing streak and improved at 2-3 record in Group F. A Greg Francis team will have to win against Argentina tomorrow to hope for qualification into the quarterfinal stage. Kazakhstan slipped at 1-4 record at the bottom of the standings. Typhoon Nurse scored 25 points to lead Canada. Kelly Olynyk added 24 points and 9 boards, while Cory Joseph finished with 20 points and 6 boards for the winners. Alexander Tyutyunik delivered 19 points for Kazakhstan. Pavel Ilyin had 13 points in the losing case.
