Spain have stepped closer to the ninth position at the U19 World Championship in New Zealand. They defeated Egypt in the classification round to set up the clash with Lithuania for the 9th overall position. Egypt will try to gain the 11th spot when they face Kazakhstan next. Toni Vicens provided 18 points and 8 rebounds for Spain. Alejandro Hernandez and Daniel Perez added 16 and 15 points respectively for the winners. Amro Sherif answered with 17 points and 7 boards for Egypt. Adham ElSayed had 15 points in defeat.
