Semi-Finals Game 1: BRAZIL - LATVIA 81-73

Brazil U19 finished on the 9th place at the 2011 U19 FIBA World Championships. The Latin American team won over the hosts 81:73 to send them to the 10th place. Janis Timma gave the Baltic side 8:3 lead, but they could not keep the leading advantage. Lucas Nogueira closed the first period at 21:14, while Davis Bertans reduced to 23:21 early in the second. Brazil pushed the tempo in the end of the half and Raul Neto sent the teams to the lockers at 41:35. In the third period the picture had changed in the game and both squads exchanged the baskets for their own leads. Kaspars Vecvagars gave the hosts 44:43 and Davis Bertans increased to 49:47. Davi Rossetto brought 58:54 for Brazil to go to the last period with 4-point deficit. Brazil did not allow Latvia to reduce the gap and won the game. Davi Rossetto led the way with 19 points and Bruno Irigoyen scored 17. Raul Neto notched 15, while Lucas Nogueira collected 8 points and 10 rebounds. Davis Bertans replied with 25 points in defeat and Edmunds Dukulis delivered 17.
