Poland wrapped up their U19 World Championship campaign with victory. They rallied past Croatia to clinch the seventh place in the ladder. Przemyslaw Karnowski knocked down 29 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the winners. It does not look good for Poland in the opening quarter. Croatia erupted for 26 points in the first frame to take an 8-point lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the second stanza. Croatia ensured a 46:38 halftime advantage. But Poland turned things around in the third term. Poland capped the frame with a 12:2 run to secure a 60:57 advantage with one quarter remaining. Przemyslaw Karnowski and Michal Michalak opened up a double-digit lead for Poland midway through the fourth quarter 71:61. Croatia could not recover in the dying minutes and had to surrender at the end. Michal Michalak notched 23 points, while Grzegorz Grochowski added 12 points and 7 assists for Poland. Dario Saric answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds for Croatia. Boris Barac had 16 points in the loss.
