Preliminary Round Day 2: BRAZIL - SENEGAL 72-56

Brazil opens Day 2 with the win over Senegal at the FIBA U19 Championship for Men. The team improved to 1-1 record after a 72:56 victory. The African side meanwhile suffered their second loss and dropped at 0-2 record in Group C. Although Brazil won the first period 15:12, the team from Latin America could not win the half. Senegal managed to grab 29:26 halftime advantage, but then failed in the third quarter. Brazil erupted with a 26-3 surge in the third stanza and took the full control of the game. They celebrated their initial win and will take on Australia tomorrow. Senegal will face Serbia in Day 3. Bordignon Daniel top-scored for the winners with 14 points and Demetrio Leonardo netted 12. Pecos Arthur brought 11, while Campos Eduardo had 10. Ndoye Abdoulaye ended up with 13 points and 10 rebounds in defeat, whilst Sankare Ibrahima notched 10. Diatta Pape and Badiane Tidiane delivered 8 points each in a loss.
