Senegalese U19 National Team opened win count at the World Championship in Czech Republic. They held off South Korea in classification round. Abdoulaye Ndoye posted 27 points and 16 rebounds to lead the winners. South Korea earned a 22:21 lead after ten minutes. The Asian team maintained the lead throughout the second period. South Korea ensured a 48:43 halftime lead. But Senegal slowly came back to life after the big break. The African team cut the deficit at 3-point mark with one quarter remaining. Senegal used a 7:0 run at the start of the fourth frame to surge ahead. Abdoulaye Ndoye helped Senegal to a 79:69 lead midway through the fourth frame. The African team stayed in charge throughout the reminder of the contest and sealed the win at the end. Pape Diatta and Ibrahima Sankare finished with 12 points each for the winners. Sangjae Kang responded with game-high 31 points for South Korea. Choi Jun-Yong had 18 points in the losing effort.
