Russia conquered the title in Skopje. They outscored Lithuania in the championship game tonight. Anastasiia Kosu (183-F-05) came up with 27 points and 14 rebounds to pace the winners. Lithuania sank 24 points in the first term to take a 4-point lead. They arrived at halftime up by three points 38:35. But Russia denied the deficit in the third term. They eked out a 54:53 lead at the final intermission. Russia held their opponents to just 13 points in the fourth period and raced to the trophy. Sabrina Dovnar-Zapolskaia (169-G-03) produced 15 points in the win. Juste Jocyte (184-F-05) replied with impressive 33 points and 9 rebounds for Lithuania.
3-4 Place
France - Spain 57-72
Spain stepped onto the pedestal in Skopje. They edged France to clinch the Bronze medals. Spain cleared off to a 42:24 halftime lead. France cut the distance at 11 points at the final break. But Spain held France to just 14 points in the fourth term and rallied to the win. Belgium - Italy 54-62
Italy toppled Belgium to earn the fifth position at the championship. Italy dominated in the first half. They grabbed a 37:21 halftime lead. Belgium pulled closer in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Laura Toffali (170-SG-03) produced 13 points, while Carlotta Zanardi (175-G-05) had 12 points in the win. Czech Republic - Latvia 80-45
Czech Republic outscored Latvia to earn the 7th position in Skopje. Czech Republic recorded a 37:22 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 43:23 second half run to seal the win. Hungary - Greece 65-52
Hungary edged Greece to earn the 11th position in Skopje. Hungary recorded a 39:21 halftime lead. They controlled the tempo in the second half and rallied to the victory. Lili Krasovec (187-PF-03) posted 16 points, while Virag Pfeiffer (168-G-04) added 15 points in the win. Eleni Bosgana (193-F-03) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds for Greece.

13-14 Place
Poland - Denmark 56-68
Denmark claimed a crucial win over Poland to remain in Division A. Poland and Denmark were tied at 27 after twenty minutes. But Denmark dropped 41 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Michala Bork (174-F-03) had 21 points, while Lisa Michaelsen (185-C-03) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Maja Kozlowska (186-C-03) replied with 12 points for Poland.

15-16 Place
Sweden - Turkey 50-55
Turkey overcame Sweden to finish their campaign on a high note. Turkey jumped to a 37:18 halftime lead. Sweden cut the distance to 4 points at the final break. But Turkey held their opponents to just 12 points in the fourth term to snatch the win. Mariya Taser (175-SG-03) came up with 20 points for Turkey. Anastasiia Bocharova (185-F-03) knocked down 18 points to lead Russia past Spain in the semifinal battle. Spain grabbed a 15:14 lead after ten minutes. Russia used an 18:7 run in the second frame to ensure a 32:22 halftime lead. They secured a 10-point lead heading into the fourth frame. Spain sank 20 points in the final quarter but came up short of win at the end. Anastasiia Kosu (183-F-05) and Iana Pashkovskaia (175-G-03) delivered 11 points each for Russia. Anna Prim (168-G-03) replied with 13 points for Spain.

France - Lithuania 51-54
Lithuania topped France to advance into the championship game. Lithuania trailed by three points at the first break 11:14. But they went on a 16:9 run in the second term to surge ahead. France pulled within one point at the final intermission. However Lithuania went on an 18:16 rally in the fourth period to snatch the victory. They went on a strong 50:23 run to clear off. Spain controlled the game in the second half and raced to the victory. Claudia Soriano (170-PG-03) chipped in 11 points for the winners. Matilde Villa (170-SG-14) replied with 19 points for Italy.

France - Belgium 62-41
France cruised past Belgium to advance into the semifinal stage. France recorded a 21:9 lead after ten minutes. They went on a 21:9 run in the third term to build a decisive 16-point lead.
