Spain recorded a 42-24 halftime lead. They followed with a 20-1 run in the fourth term to ice the victory. Chelsea Dike (183-F/C-2008) stepped up with 16 points, while Adriana Diaz (183-C-2008) added 15 points for Spain. Giulia Olandi (180-F-2008) banked in 13 points for Italy. 5-6 PlaceBelgium - Slovenia 86-52Belgium stormed past Slovenia to earn the fifth position at the championship. Belgium ignited a 44-25 second half rally to secure the winning outcome. Jada Lynch (179-F-2008) posted 22 points for Belgium. Nika Ocvirk (176-F/G-2008) notched 11 points for Slovenia. 7-8 PlaceHungary - Germany 69-73Germany outlasted Hungary to claim the 7th place at the tournament. Germany trailed by two points after ten minutes. But they bounced back with a 24-17 run in the fourth term to snatch the win. Lilli Schultze (189-F-2008) poured in 25 points for Germany. Kinga Bognar (179-F-2008) registered 22 points for Hungary. 9-10 PlaceLatvia - Serbia 62-56Latvia fired past Serbia to secure the ninth spot in Hungary. Serbia snatched a 3-point lead heading into the fourth stanza. But Latvia replied with a 17-8 rally to secure the victory. Mila Luzgina (173-G-2008) netted 21 points for Latvia. Anastasija Jovanov (172-G-2009) replied with 12 points for Serbia. 11-12 PlacePoland - Israel 64-60Poland held off Israel to claim the 11th position. Poland grabbed a 34-21 halftime lead. Israel replied with a strong 39-30 rally in the second half but came up short of win. Helena Danielewicz (185-F-2008) scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Poland. Maya Zilbershlag (180-F/G-2008) answered with 26 points for Israel. 13-14 PlaceCroatia - Montenegro 59-56Croatia remained in Division A as they topped Montenegro to avoid relegation. Montenegro led by six points heading into the fourth period. But Croatia went on a 19-10 rally in the final term to snatch a vital win. Nika Gazic delivered 21 points and 9 boards in the victory. Milena Vujovic (169-G-2008) answered with 19 points and 10 rebounds for Montenegro. 15-16 PlaceGreece - Sweden 72-66Greece wrapped up their championship campaign beating Sweden. Greece used a 20-9 rally in the second term to take a 34-30 halftime lead. They followed with a 19-14 run in the third term to build a decisive advantage. Efthymia Fousteri (168-PG-2009) delivered 12 points and 8 assists for Greece. Linnea Norberg (175-G/F-2008) tossed in 16 points for Sweden. |
