Ploiesti became the Winner of the 2012/2012 season. The team swept the Final series to win the Gold medals.
Ploiesti started the game with 15-14, but allowed the guests to take the lead at the halftime after 19-10 in the second period. Ploiesti needed 22-18 in the third quarter and 25-21 in the fourth period to tie the game. Timisoara was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Aleksandar Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-G-90) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Darius Darius Hargrove (193-G-82, agency: Strategic Sports, college: Virginia Union) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Zlatko Zlatko Jovanovic (181-PG-84, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 20 points and 9 assists and Montenegrin guard Branko Branko Cuic (197-G-78) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Timisoara. South All Stars conquer Timisoara in the show between two sides. The team from South overcame the North representatives 133:131.
South took 32:28 after the first period but could not keep the lead at the halftime. The team from the North grabbed 1-point advantage after 35-30 in the second frame. It was hot in the court in the second half as well however two tine victories in the third and the last quarters respectively brought the final success for South.
Catalin Burlacu (210-C-77, agency: Court Side) was anmed MVP of the game with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Brian Burrell (192-G-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: UTPA) posted 16. Andrei Capusan (204-F-83, agency: Court Side, college: Lafayette) netted 15 and Damien Kinloch (203-F-80, college: Tenn Tech) scored 14. Dominique Archie (200-F-87, college: S.Carolina) delivered 18 points in the losing effort and Nemanja Maric (196-G-83) added 13.
