Cholet beat Grissin Bon to tie 4-team record at 1-1 in Group J. The French team came up with an 81:78 win for the initial success. Trenkwalder RE was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 25-20 third quarter run of Cholet Basket. Trailing 71:82 with 4 minutes to go, Cholet took the lead back and sealed the victory. They outrebounded Trenkwalder RE 35-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Torey Thomas scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and John Cox chipped in 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. James White responded with 27 points and Andrea Cinciarini scored 11 points and 9 assists. Cholet Basket will play against Szolnok in the next round. Trenkwalder RE will play at home against Krka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
