Regular Season Round 4: U-Banca TR - Gussing 68-81

There was no surprise in Cluj where 4th ranked Romanian U-Banca TR (0-4) was defeated by second ranked Austrian Gussing Knights (3-1) 81-68 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Gussing Knights. U-Banca TR was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The other American import point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St.) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Curtis Millage (185-81, college: Arizona St.) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Catalin Baciu (213-88, college: Clemson) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Austrian champion maintains second position in Group F with 3-1 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Enel Brindisi. Loser U-Banca TR still closes the standings with four games lost. Gussing Knights will face Atomeromu (#3) in Paks in the next round, which may be the game of the day. U-Banca TR will play on the road against the league's leader Trabzonspor and hopes to get finally their first victory.
