Qualifying Round Round 2: Enisey - N.Novgorod 82-85

BC Nizhny Novgorod won an amazing Russian battle of the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round in Krasnoyarsk. The team grabbed 85:82 win and advanced to the EuroChallenge with 177-174 total win. The Russian teams were all tied at 92-92 after the first leg as they took to the floor in front o 2,500 fans in Krasnoyarsk and it was the hosts who led 26:25 at the end of the first quarter. Williams scored for 28:25 and Sergeev gave the hosts 36:31. Enisey dominated the court in the second frame and enjoyed 44:37 at the halftime. Moreover Demeshkin made it 55:47, but BC Nizhny Novgorod replied with 11-0 run for 58:55 advantage. Savkov closed the third period at 63:61 driving a lay-up. It was hot in the court in the last quarter and the teams kept the spectators alive until the last seconds. Lonny Baxter gave Enisey the last lead at 81:80 and he was the last to score in the game. His free throw however was not enough to win the game as well as the series. Ivan Paunic stepped up with 17 points and Vukasin Aleksic delivered 12. Andrei Ivanov and Dmitry Kulagin followed them with 10 points apiece. Dragan Labovic replied with 19 points in the losing effort. Pavel Sergeev notched 17, whilst Lonny Baxter collected 16 points and 14 rebounds.
