Regular Season Round 2: Zadar - Apoel 95-73

BC Zadar outscored Apoel in the first game at home of Round 2 of EuroChallenge. The team from Croatia posted 95:73 win as both teams are tied at 1-1 in the standings of Group G. The hosts opened the game with 4-0, while the guests enjoyed 11:10 lead after the basket from Ian Hanavan. Zadar however scored more important baskets at the end of the period for 27:23 lead. BC Zadar exploded with 15-0 run in the second period to shock the Cyprus team until he end of the game. Brandon Brown brought the Croatian team 42:23 as the result of the game was clear. The hosts won the second period 26-12 for the total 53:35 at the end of the half. Brandon Brown also scored for 55:35 early in the third period and Marcinkovic made two free throws for 66:38. Batur drove a lay-up at the end of the third frame for 75:52 advantage of Zadar. Only in the last stanza Apoel manage to show their basketball as they used to play. The team from Cyprus won the last quarter 21-20 to tie a bit the result in the end. Miro Bilan was the last to score in the game for the final success. Miro Bilan paced the Croatian side with 23 points for the first victory. Brandon Brown notched 20, while Ivanov scored 11. Kevin Tiggs ended up with 17 points in the losing effort and Ian Hanavan posted 14. Jeremiah Davis and Zvonko Buljan responded with 10 points in defeat.
