Regular Season Round 2: Turk Telekom - Liege 85-94

Belgacom Liege upset Turk Telekom in Round 2 of EuroChallenge as they surprised them 94:85 in Ankara. A 30-23 in the last stanza was enough for the guests to steal the win. Liege did not mind playing in the capital of Turkey and went on an early lead. Taylor Griffin scored for 14:7, while Len Matela made it 17:12. Muya nailed a three-pointer for 24:19 at the end of the first period. Although the hosts trailed for the majority of the second frame they managed to be back at the halftime. Sani Becirovic first tied the game at 42:42 and then Heiko Schaffartzik closed the half at 46:46. In the third quarter the Belgij squad was in front in the majority of time, but could keep only 64:62 advantage entering the last stanza. Heiko Schaffartzik brought the hosts 67:64 and Jenkins tied the game again at 69:69. The hosts had been ahead 71:69 with 7:47 to go after Heiko Schaffartzik's jump-shot, but it was all Liege after that as the visitors took control. Taylor Griffin scored for 88:77, whilst Collette added for 92:81. Cankaya was the last to score in the game for the final result. Len Matela erupted with 25 points for the winners and Taylor Griffin notched 22. Sani Becirovic ended up with 16 points in the losing case, whilst Heiko Schaffartzik and Diamon Simpsons had 14 each.
