Regular Season Round 2: Szolnok - N.Novgorod 86-82

Szolnoki Olaj held off a late fightback from Nizhniy Novgorod to record their first win in EuroChallenge Group A. The team from Hungary produced a 86:82 on November 23rd. The teams exchanged the lead several times in the beginning of the game as the Russian team grabbed late lead. Aleksic nailed three at the end of 10 minutes for 26:20 advantage, while Yurchyk scored for 30:22. Nizhniy Novgorod managed to keep the score for another few minutes as then the hosts tied the game at 41:41. Budimir made two free throws at the end of the half to send the teams to the lockers. Szolnoki Olaj continued to dominate the court right from the start of the third frame and Vesztergom scored for 56:47. Grebenar delivered two for 62:49, whilst Fodor gave his side +15 at 67:52. Antonov closed the period at 67:55 giving the Russian team a chance to catch up with the opponents in the last quarter. They were too close to do that as Paunic cut it to 59:56, but Trotter made it 85:78. Kulagin scored the last two points in the game for the final result. Trotter Obie paced all the winners with 35 points and Bader Marton as well as Fodor Marton scored 12 each. Paunic Ivan answered with 17 points and Yurchyk Valentin brought 14 points in defeat.
