Deutsche Bank Skyliners grabbed the valuable victory in Latvia on Wednesday night of EuroChalenge. The German Powerhouse needed massive second period to win 64:62. BK Ventspils started with 11:0 run but could not keep the score for good. McKinney nailed three in response to close the period at 14:7. Gulbis scored three for the hosts as they enjoyed 20:11 lead, but Dabbert later gave the guests 24:22 advantage. Moreover after 31:17 in the second quarter the board showed 38:31 at the halftime. Deutsche Bank Skyliners did not slow down and added another 20-15 in the third frame. Strelnieks nailed three for 58:46 after three quarters. In the last period the German side never looked behind but allowed BK Ventspils to come closer. Kuzminskas reduced to 62:64 with a minute to go, but he missed a dunk a few seconds after. Robertson erupted with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners, while Wood and McKinney netted 12. Kuzminskas ended up with 11 points in defeat, whilst Blaus and Strelnieks scored 10 apiece. The game between Maccabi Haifa and Knimik was postponed for December 16th.
