A real thriller ended up in Haifa where local Maccabi edged Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Round 4 of EuroChallenge. The Israeli team grabbed 54:53 win for 2-1 record. The guests went on a 4-0 run after the baskets from Nolte and Muurinen. Rothbart brought he first lead for the hosts and it was right before the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the guests again led for the whole time and looked awesome in the court. Maccabi Haifa again needed the last shot to get the lead back. It was O'Bannon driving lay-up for 29:27 halftime advantage. Six times the score was tied in the court in the last quarter that became the addition to the first two amazing quarters. Wood made two free throws at the end of the period for his side, while Low closed the period at 43:43. Another five times the teams were tide in the last frame as the final seconds became the most interesting. Kadir pulled the Israeli outfit level with a lay-up from the end. Landesberg drew a foul by Quantez Robertson and made the first of two free-throws for the final score. Landesberg paced all the winners with 16 points and Kadir scored 9. Wood responded with 12 points in the losing effort as the German side suffered their third loss. Muurinen collected 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Nolte added 9 points and 11 boards.
