Regular Season Round 6: Gravelines - Szolnok 82-71

Gravelines claimed the place into EuroChallenge Last 16 stage. The French team outscored Szolnok at home court to advance into the next round of action. Julius Johnson knocked down 21 points to pace the winners. It was a do-or-die battle for both teams. Gravelines got to the better start. They pulled away midway through the opening quarter to take a 24:11 lead at the first break. However Akos Horvath sparked a 13:0 run from the visitors as they drew things level at 24 in the second quarter. Gravelines recovered and regained the lead. Cyril Akpomedah capped the half with a three-pointer to give a 43:38 lead for Gravelines. The hosts opened the second half with nine points in a row to clear off. Fodor, Akos Horvath and Obie Trotter knocked down consecutive triples as Szolnok trimmed the deficit at just two points 51:53. Gravelines entered the final quarter up by only three points 58:55. Akos Horvath tipped off the fourth frame with a triple to level things up. But Greer immediately replied with two triples in a row as Gravelines returned in charge. Clark answered with a triple for Szolnok but Bokolo followed with four points in a row as Gravelines took over. Cyril Akpomedah boosted the lead to 8 points for the hosts and the French outfit rallied to the victory at the end. Cyril Akpomedah provided 17 points and 9 rebounds for Gravelines. Ben Woodside added 16 points and 10 assists in the win. Obie Trotter replied with 18 points for Szolnok. Akos Horvath unloaded 19 points in the loss.
