Top 16 Round 5: Lokomotiv - Oostende 70-62

Lokomotiv Kuban hand BC Oostende the first loss in Group L of EuroChallenge. The Russian team grabbed 3-2 record on the second place after 70:62 home win. Kuban started the game with 10-0 run and dominated the first period. After 22-6, the guests however closed the quarter at 22:10 as Caleb Green made a jump shot. In the second period the hosts added 20-19 to take 42:29 halftime advantage when Chalmers sent the teams to the lockers. Trailing 40:50 in the end of the third frame, BC Oostende scored the last four points to go to the last period trailing just 6. Moreover Faison nailed three for 50:49 and Caleb Green kept the guests alive at 53:51. Lokomotiv Kuban however did not allo the opponents to win and due to 20-18 in the last stanza won the game. Chalmers paced all the winners with 22 points and Massey added 17. Wilkinson finished the game with 11 points and Surovtsev scored 8. Caleb Green responded with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the losing case as the Belgian team dropped to 4-1 record. Mitchell notched 14, whilst Faison netted 12.
