Maccabi Haifa edged Spartak Saint-Petersburg to finish EuroChallenge with 2-4 record in Group I. In the last game the team from Israel celebrated 92:86 win with only pride to play for. The Russian team however suffered the first loss but finished on top of the group with 5-1 record. Maccabi Haifa made their move in the first quarter. With nothing to lose they started with 24-15 in the first period, while the board showed 44:38 at the halftime. Landesberg and Killingsworth increased the lead to 10 points and later made it 59:43. Jackson closed the period at 65:55 after 30 minutes. In the last frame Spartak Saint-Petersburg looked better and won the quarter 31:27, but lost the game. The hosts scored the last 8 free throws for the final success. Rothbart again paced all the winners with 23 points and Jackson posted 17. Landesberg and Low ended up with 12 points each. Dragovic answered with 20 points in the losing case, whilst Ponkrashov delivered 18. Beverley netted 15 and Antic produced 9 points.
