Regular Season Round 1: Triumph - Aalstar 83-78

Triumph Lyubertsy overcame Okapi Aalstar in Group F of EuroChallenge. The Russian team needed a strong first half to secure 83:78 victory. The guests looked better in the first 10 minutes of the game and led in the majority of the quarter. Fox scored for 23:22 and Ruoff opened the second period for 25:22. The second frame however belonged to the Russian squad that needed 24-10 for 46:33 at the halftime. Sergey Solovev increased to 57:37 and Dmitry Kulagin brought 61:46. Okapi meanwhile did not give up and after 9-0 run Christopher Copeland reduced to 61:52. Moreover Steinbach cut to 67:64, but Sergey Solovev delivered two for 74:67. Artem Kuzyakin made the final result in the game as Triumph escaped the narrow win. Artem Kuzyakin top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Dmitry Kulagin netted 20. Tywain McKee posted 16, whilst Sergey Solovev added 10. Christopher Copeland ended up with 17 points in the losing case, whilst Justin Holiday and Jackson posted 12 apiece.
