Atomeromu opened their EuroChallenge regular season campaign with victory.They knocked down Nizhny Novgorod at home court. Donald Cole provided 19 points and 8 rebounds to pace the winners. So the Hungarian team improved at 1-0 record in Group D. The teams stayed close throughout the opening frame. The scoreboard read 22:22 after ten minutes of action. However Donald Cole ignited an 8:0 start of the second period. Soon Atomeromu grabbed a double-digit lead. They rallied to a 44:31 halftime advantage. The Hungarian team shielded their lead well enough throughout the third frame. They arrived at the last break leading by 12 points 63:51. Nizhny Novgorod managed to narrow the deficit at just 8 points midway through the fourth frame 61:69. However Atomeromu never allowed the visitors closer and rolled to the victory at the end. Lorenzo Williams and David Vojvoda knocked down 16 points each in the win. Semen Antonov answered with 21 points and 10 rebounds for Nizhny Novgorod. Michal Ignerski had 15 points in the loss.
