ZZ Leiden turned back BG Gottingen in day 2 of EuroChallenge. The Dutch team grabbed 81:70 win for 1-1 record in Group B. The guests scored the first 5 points in the game and Kennedy later brought 9:1. Shepherd scored for 16:8 and he closed the period at 20:10. It looked that ZZ Leiden controlled the game as they wanted as they had 40:31 halftime advantage. Jackson brought 44:34, while Cunningham nailed three for 53:45. BG Gottingen did not however give up and bounced back for 59:55 as Sykes made a jump shot. Mafra scored for 69:64 but that was all the German team could do. Slagter and Jackson made 4 free throws at the end for the final win. Kennedy poured in 22 points and Shepherd posted 16. Jackson notched 11 and Cunningham delivered 10. Sykes produced 18 points in the losing effort and Dale added 14. Horne and Mafra posted 11 points each in defeat.
